Sarah Wayne Callies recently chatted with the Star Bulletin regarding her career, her various roles, and Prison Break.


莎拉醫(yī)生保守內(nèi)斂，吻戲曾經(jīng)一拖再拖

莎拉說能夠與《越獄》的編劇們合作是一樁十分榮幸的事情，他們與演員之間開誠布公。“的確是雙方面在合作，這并不是所有劇集的主創(chuàng)人員能夠做到的。”

至于她的角色，莎拉則表示她必須努力克制。因為《越獄》是一部實打?qū)嵉膭幼髌?，她想把莎拉醫(yī)生塑造成“每一拍、每一個動作、每一句話都真實可信，顯示出人物保守內(nèi)斂的個性。”

實際上，當編劇們要求莎拉醫(yī)生和邁克接吻時，分別扮演兩人的莎拉·韋恩·卡麗絲和溫特沃斯·米勒都竭力反對，說發(fā)展得太快了！莎拉笑著說：“我們把他們倆第一場吻戲推遲了好多……好多集。這樣我們就能夠使得人物之間的關(guān)系更具張力，這樣的感情戲也遠比倆人一動感情就睡一塊兒了有看頭。”

Sarah said that it’s been great to work with the Prison Break writers because they are open to a dialogue with the actors. “They make it a real collaboration, which is such a gift because it’s not that way on every set.”

As for her particular character, Sarah says she had to fight for restraint. She felt that since Prison Break is so full of action, she wanted Dr. Sara Tancredi to be a “character who was beat-to-beat, moment-to-moment, word-to-word very believable. And very understated.”

In fact, when the writers wanted Sara and Michael to kiss, both Sarah and Wentworth Miller objected, saying that it was too soon! “We pushed that kiss back for a long, long time,” she laughed. “I think that allowed us to build the tension between them in a way that made it more interesting to watch than a contemporary sensibility when two people are attracted to each other, and the very next scene they’re waking up together.”


莎拉同時也談到了莎拉同邁克當下面臨的感情狀況：“因為邁克現(xiàn)在查出來得了腦瘤，對莎拉來講，愛邁克也就是要關(guān)心他的病情，并且讓他自己關(guān)注到自己的健康。這一部分是出于私心沒錯，因為現(xiàn)在邁克是莎拉生命中唯一的依靠。但另一方面來看，莎拉也是無私的，她是邁克生命中唯一一個不求他回報的人。”

而對于邁克來說，忽略自己的健康卻是為了保證莎拉的安全。結(jié)果呢？感情路上便起風浪，而且現(xiàn)在看來并無平息的跡象。


 

Sarah also talks about the path that Sara and Michael currently follow. "For Sarah, loving Michael (who has a brain tumor) means caring for him in a way that tries to get him to care for himself and his own health," noted Callies. "Part of that is selfish, because he's the last thing left in her life. The altruistic sense of that is she's the only voice in his life who isn't trying to get something from him."

He, on the other hand, doesn't want to think about his health until he's made her safe. The result? Relationship frustration. And there's no end point in sight.
