Zina:  He's on the phone right now. I 1) imagine he's finding out.

吉娜：         他現(xiàn)在正在通電話。我想他就要知道了。

Dave:  What's he going to say?

戴夫：         那他會怎么說？

Zina:           He might find it a little 2) awkward, but he's going to thank me.

吉娜：         他或許會有些尷尬，不過他會感謝我的。

Dave:  Are you sure?

戴夫：         你確定嗎？

Zina:  Yes. Because I'm going to help him become a very, very rich man.

吉娜：  對。因為我將會幫他變得非常非常有錢。

A: What would you do if Matt Daemon asked you out?

    夢特戴蒙約你出去的話，你會怎樣？

【On the phone 在電話上】

與phone搭配的動詞包括answer, speak on ,talk on。要注意phone之前要有定冠詞the。“接聽電話”是answer the phone，絕不可誤用receive, speak/talk on the phone是“在電話中講話”。而“你的電話”在英文里絕非your telephone，應(yīng)說It's for you或You are wanted on the phone。

A:  Janet, you are wanted on the phone.

     珍妮特，你的電話。

B:  I'm sorry. I Just can't answer the phone right now.

     抱歉，我現(xiàn)在沒有空接電話。
