Zina:           Hi, Dave. You're early.

吉娜：  嗨，戴夫。你早到了。

Dave:          So you knew it was me?

戴夫：         你早就知道是我？

Zina:           1) I had an idea.

吉娜：         我有在懷疑。

Dave:  Look, before we 2) get into the secret admirer thing, I want to talk to you about WebTracker.

語言詳解:

A: Do you betray your friends?

   你會背叛你的朋友嗎？

B: Only if they have good-looking boyfriends.

   除非她們有帥帥的男友。

【My mind is made up.我心意已決。】

表達(dá)“已下定決心”的最佳慣用語句，莫過于My mind is made up. 如果必須說明是什么樣的決心，通常會用主動詞態(tài)，例如：

I make up my mind to study management in college.

我下決心在大學(xué)里攻讀管理學(xué)。

Robert made up his mind that he would stay single for another 10 years.

羅伯下定決心要在今后十年里保持單身。

A: What do you want to do after college?

     大學(xué)畢業(yè)后你想做什么？

B: I make up my mind to be a teacher.

     我決心要做個老師。

A: Are you sure that is what you want to do for life?

     你確是那是你要終身從事的工作嗎？

B: Yes. My mind is made up.

     是的，我心意已決。

1) I had an idea  此指“我有懷疑過。”這句話用于回答對方提問，表示自己曾經(jīng)這樣想過。

2) get into...  陷入（話題）

3) betray (v.)  背叛。betrayed是betray 的過去分詞作形容詞用，意為“遭到背叛的”

4) quit (v.)  放棄

5) switch  (v.)  轉(zhuǎn)換，調(diào)動
