SCENE④ B  吉娜下樓走到停車(chē)場(chǎng)。戴夫在那里

【我覺(jué)得你下對(duì)了棋】

Dave:  This is going to surprise you, but I'm happy. I think you're making the right move.

戴夫：         說(shuō)了你會(huì)嚇一跳，不過(guò)我聽(tīng)了很高興。我覺(jué)得你下對(duì)了棋。

Zina:  You do?

吉娜：         真的？

Dave:  Look, maybe I shouldn't tell you this, but I'v going over to WebTracker, too.

戴夫：         你聽(tīng)我說(shuō)，或許我不該跟你說(shuō)這事，不過(guò)我也要投靠“網(wǎng)路搜尋家”。

Zina:           1) No way! That's great! Then we'll still be together!

吉娜：         不可能！太棒了！那我們還能在一起！
 

Dave:  Actually, I'm already working for WebTracker. Vince never wanted to give me what I was worth, so I figured, what the heck.

戴夫：         其實(shí)我已經(jīng)在替“網(wǎng)路搜尋家”工作。文斯不肯給我合理待遇，我想說(shuō)豁出去算了。
 

Zina:           No kidding! I can't believe this. You devil!

吉娜：         不會(huì)吧！我不敢相信。你這惡魔！
 

Dave:          It's kind of cool, isn't it? I'm sort of like a 2) secret agent.

戴夫：         這有點(diǎn)小酷，對(duì)不對(duì)？我有點(diǎn)像是情報(bào)員。

語(yǔ)言詳解

A: That additional piece of luggage will cost extra.

   額外的那件行李會(huì)加收費(fèi)用。

B: I figured it would.

   我想也是。
 

【make the right move 下對(duì)決定】

move 當(dāng)名詞用是“舉動(dòng)，動(dòng)作”的意思，make the right move 就是指“下對(duì)決定”。
 

A: You're made the right move by coming here to buy your car.  

     你到我們這里來(lái)買(mǎi)車(chē)，真是明智的決定。

B: I sure hope so. 

     我很希望是這樣。
 

【figure 的用法】

figure這個(gè)字是指“料想，估算”，而what the heck 這個(gè)短語(yǔ)是指 “管他的，搞什么”的意思，用做表達(dá)感嘆的語(yǔ)氣，表示覺(jué)得意外或是不在乎。好比你看到很扯的事，你就可以說(shuō)What the heck? 以表達(dá)“搞什么鬼？”的意思。而So I figured, what the heck 這句話猶如中文里的“我就想說(shuō)，豁出去算了”，或是“我就想，管他的”。使用的時(shí)機(jī)是當(dāng)自己決定孤注一擲，擔(dān)起萬(wàn)一失敗的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)，先做了再說(shuō)。

A: Why didn't you pay the tickets?

     你怎么都沒(méi)繳罰單？

B: The police never caught me, so I figured, what the heck.

     警察都沒(méi)逮到過(guò)我，我就想，管他去死。
 

1) No way!  “不可能！”，“門(mén)都沒(méi)有！”用以表示驚訝或是絕無(wú)可能性。
