雞蛋中的俄羅斯套娃:德州冒出"蛋中蛋"
A Texas woman who found an egg the size of a baseball in her chicken coop, cracked it open to find another full egg inside, AP reported.
德克薩斯州一位婦女從雞舍里找到了一枚像棒球那么大的雞蛋，敲開后卻發(fā)現(xiàn)里面還有一個完整的雞蛋。
Earlier this week, Cookie Smith of Abilene found what she called the "mutant super egg", one inch longer and triple the weight of a regular hen's egg.
據(jù)美聯(lián)社報道，本周早些時候，艾利比尼的庫奇•史密斯發(fā)現(xiàn)了這枚“基因突變的超級蛋”，它比普通的雞蛋長一英寸，重量卻是普通蛋的三倍。
She initially took pictures of the egg and showed photos to her co-workers at an Abilene hospital.
她先是給它拍了照，并把照片拿給艾利比尼醫(yī)院的同事看。
She cracked it open only after a photographer accompanied her home. Inside was a large yolk and another intact normal-sized egg.
在攝影師的陪同下，她把雞蛋敲開，結(jié)果發(fā)現(xiàn)里面除了有一個很大的蛋黃外，還有一枚毫發(fā)無損的正常大小的雞蛋。
Smith says she knows the eggs may have been OK to eat, but she chose to pass on that.
史密斯說自己知道這個“超級蛋”應該可以吃，但最后還是決定免了。
