第六課　助動詞 could
一.本課要點(diǎn)及示例:

在這一課里, 我們要學(xué)習(xí)助動詞 could, c-o-u-l-d, could 和兩個助動詞短語 would like to, w-o-u-l-d l-i-k-e t-o, would like to 跟 ought to, o-u-g-h-t t-o, ought to. 我們也要學(xué)習(xí)用連接詞 because, b-e-c-a-u-s-e, because 作句子.

首先我還是請兩位英文老師給你念一段對話,內(nèi)容是說亨利跟他的同事南希聊 天的情況. 我請英文老師先用自然速度念一遍, 請你注意聽英文老師的發(fā)音和 聲調(diào).

M: Hello, Nancy! Where were you yesterday?

F: I didn't come in because I was sick.

M: You still look a little sick. You ought to go back to bed.

F: I'm going home now.

M: Did you drive today?

F: No, I don't have a car.

M: I can take you home. Would you like a ride?

F: Yes, I'll appreciate it very much. Could you stop at the drugstore on the way? I need to buy some aspirin.

在剛才那段對話里, 有幾個句子用了我們今天要學(xué)的語法, 也就是 could, would like to, ought to 跟 because 的用法, 現(xiàn)在我請英文老師把這幾個句子念出來給 你聽.

二.助動詞Could

好了, 現(xiàn)在我們來作練習(xí). 首先我們學(xué)習(xí)助動詞 could 的用法. 這個字是 can, c-a-n, can 的過去式, 是用來表示過去有能力作一件事. 不過這個字還有另外一 個用法, 就是可以用在問句里表示客氣地提出請求. 比方有一句話: "我沒有車, 你能開車送我嗎?" 用英文可以這樣說: I don't have a car. Could you give me a ride?

好, 現(xiàn)在我們來練習(xí)這種用法. 由老師念一些句子, 內(nèi)容都是說南希病了, 她客 氣地請人幫忙. 每個句子我們念兩遍, 請你聽一遍, 跟著重復(fù)一遍.

下面我們來作換字練習(xí).由老師念一個句子,比方: "我能借你的字典嗎?" Could I borrow your dictionary? 然后老師給你一個新詞組, 比方: 用你的電話 use your telephone, 請你把新詞組代換到原來的句子里. 每作完一句就請你聽正確答案.
